Trinity Corporate Communications Internship
GENERAL
DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for
enhancing the image of Trinity Regional Health System and its affiliates
by supporting the coordination of its marketing and public relations
initiatives. Supervised work with a variety of staff members on public
relations/media relations, events, community classes, internal and
external publications, physician relations, and marketing research.
Full-time preferred, but scheduling may be flexible. Temporary
position. Small stipend available pending successful completion of
internship.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, TRAINING &
EXPERIENCE:
- Completion of
some marketing or communications coursework preferred
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES
& SKILLS:
- Working
knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good
organizational skills
- Creativity &
attention to detail
- Ability to
handle multiple projects at one time
- Strong written
and verbal communication ability
JOB DUTIES:
- Assists with the
research, writing and/or coordination of news releases, newsletter
articles, public service messages, media appearances and interviews
as necessary.
- Assists with the
coordination of public relations/marketing initiatives designed to
develop a positive internal and external image for Trinity Regional
Health System.
- Assists with the
implementation of various special events and functions with hospital
personnel, volunteers, and Medical Staff.
- Maintains strict
confidentiality of strategic planning and information.
- Participates in
other tasks as directed by the Sr. Director of Corporate
Communications.
- Documents and
evaluates public relations initiatives coordinated.
- Assists with
photography for newsletter and Web communication.
- Assists with
marketing research for public relations/marketing
initiatives.
- Some clerical
duty (filing, answering telephones, inputting data)
