Trinity Graphic Design Intern

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for enhancing the image of Trinity Regional Health System and its affiliates by supporting the coordination of its marketing and public relations initiatives through print tactics.  Duties may include, but are not limited to, supervised design of flyers, brochures, newsletters, advertisements, and other internal health system printed materials.  Scheduling may be flexible.  Small stipend available pending successful completion of internship.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

• Completion of some design coursework preferred

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS:

• Working knowledge of Quark Express & Photoshop
• Knowledge of Illustrator beneficial
• Good organizational skills
• Creativity & attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple projects at one time

JOB DUTIES:  RESPONSIBILITIES/ADMINISTRATIVE/CLINICAL:

• Assists with the design and layout of newsletters, brochures, posters, advertisements, flyers, invitations, and forms as necessary.
• Assists with the scanning, toning, and archiving of photos.
• Interacts with print vendors under the supervision of Trinity lead graphic designer
• Assists with creation of logos.
• Assists with the implementation of various special events and functions with hospital personnel, volunteers, and Medical Staff.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of strategic planning and information.
• Participates in other tasks as directed by the Sr. Director of Corporate Communications.
• Some clerical duty (filing, answering telephones, inputting data)
