Research and Teaching Assistantships,
The Master of Arts in Communication program at
Angelo State University is pleased to announce opportunities for
students interested in working as research and teaching assistants,
while pursuing a masters degree in communication. We offer a 36
semester hour program with a wide range of options for students who are
interested in advancing in leadership, management, performance studies,
and media & cultural studies, or who aspire to enroll in a doctoral
program. Students may elect to take an Applied Non-Thesis Track or a
Thesis Track. In addition to research and teaching assistantships,
we also have scholarship opportunities for the performance group Studio
One. Studio One is a undergraduate/graduate performance troupe
that performs a variety of shows in and around the Angelo State
community. The overall mission of the graduate program is
shaped by our relationship with the community in West Texas. We
foster the graduate experience with applied scholarship and community
engagement. We are dedicated to providing a high quality experience for
our students that will help them grow as scholars, citizens, and
professionals. We offer a well-rounded, comprehensive program with
course work in research methods, intercultural, interpersonal and
nonverbal communication, media & cultural studies, performance studies,
and more. We have a strong and active faculty with active research
agendas and whom have leadership roles in state, regional and national
communication associations. Angelo State University, a member of the Texas

delivers undergraduate and graduate programs in the liberal arts,
sciences, and professional disciplines. In a learning-centered
