Each spring the Accounting Department selects its top accounting student based on a combination of academics in the department as well as leadership activities at the college and the department. These students are formally recognized for their excellence at the college's Honors Convocation on Founder's Day in April.

Responsibilities:
Consolidate unit, financial services, and corporate actual results for U.S. and Canada: Prepare various reports, reconciliations, and analyses for actual results (up to worldwide in scope); Prepare external financial statements; calculate profit sharing expenses (forecast and actual).

General Ledger Accountant

Responsibilities:
Prepare and enter journal entries, reconcile cash accounts, maintain and reconcile accounts receivable, prepare monthly reports to distribute to Management Council, and assist in the budgeting process.

Responsibilities:
Prepare yearly budget; Perform departmental cost accounting; Prepare board reports; Manage accounts payable; Serve on the ALCO committee; Assist with pricing of CD and loan products; Reconcile the bond portfolio and cash due from banks; Pay Federal, Franchise, and Sales/Use Taxes; Manage the bank's Asset/Liability software and reporting; and other projects as assigned.

Wendy Wilhelm Schaub

Title:
Manager, Firmwide Tax Services

Responsibilities:
Work with the Director of Tax on all firm tax administration needs such as administering internal tax inspection program, serving as main resource on complex research projects, assisting in development and serving as main resource for firm tax tools, writing and updating tax manual and internal tax policies, coordinating and developing internal tax continuing education programs, working with external vendors on firm products and contracts, as well as preparing client tax returns.

Activities while in college:
Scot Ambassador, Hall Council Representative, VITA Volunteer, Blue Key National Honor Fraternity Treasurer, Commerce Club, Accounting Society Secretary, Students Organized for Service (S.O.S.), Mortar Board and Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society.
