What is the Accounting Society?

An organization to provide the opportunity for Accounting students to become better prepared for the Accounting profession and to encourage scholastic achievement, to foster development of professional attitudes, to provide an environment for individuals with similar interests to engage in social and professional activities, and to promote solidarity between students, faculty and the business community.

Upcoming Events:

Dues are due! The amount of $10 payable to Monmouth College Accounting Society can be handed to any of the officers or advisors.  Please get these paid so we can do lots of fun events this year!

Accounting Society T-shirts will be available for ordering soon.  The back of the shirts will say “My Major Counts, Yours is Immaterial.” Stay tuned for further announcements!

On November 19th, we will be bringing in speaker Sheila Weinberg, founder and CEO of the Institute of Truthful Accounting to educate the campus on the state of our government and the harmful deficit spending that is occurring and what students can do and should know about it.  The speech will be in Dahl Chapel from 7-8PM.

Also in November, Accounting Society will be taking a day trip to visit businesses in Peoria.  Stay tuned for a day and more information!
