Founder's Day 2008

Alpha Xi Delta was founded on April 17, 1893 at Lombard College in Galesburg, Illinois.  Because we have two of our founders buried in the Monmouth cemetery, we celebrate by visiting their gravesites.  We bring pink roses to place on the gravesites of Bertha Evans and Alice Bartlett Bruner.  This year, we mourned the passing of Glendora Shaver and honored her by placing roses on her gravesite as well.  The bottom right picture is of our cornerstone in Galesburg, Illinois.  Some of our current members and alumni went exploring!
