Marilyn Kloeppel
Marylin is the wife of Peter Kloeppel. Peter was a Physics professor at Monmouth College for seventeen years and is currently (as of 2004) working at the college part time in the Physics department. Marylin also worked for a short period of time at Monmouth College in the bookstore and with Admissions. They currently reside in Monmouth.
Marylin went to Western Illinois University for her Master’s degree. There, during the late 1970s, she did research on the history of local railroads. Marilyn went through ten years of the The Monmouth Daily Review (also called the Monmouth Review Atlas) from the early twentieth century. She Xeroxed the important newspapers and indexed the copies. The newspaper copies and the index cards are the contents of the three boxes for Marilyn Koeppel small personal collection. There is also a binder of Monmouth College newspaper clippings, mainly Ralph Eckley’s column, donated by Marilyn Kloeppel in 2001).
