Text Box:      This year, we are starting out very strong with numerous philanthropies.  We went to Smithshire, a small town about 20 minutes away from Monmouth.  We spent 10 hours constructing a modern playground for the local children.  We were met there by the town mayor who was very grateful.  There was only one other person from the town, who came out to help with the construction.  Even though it was an extremely hot day and we were there till 8 o'clock on a Saturday, every brother agreed that it was well worth it and quite possibly one of the best things we have ever done. 

Text Box:               Currently there are 10 members that are competing in colligate sports.  The swimming team is led by Captain Erik Hoffer, with help from Brandon Sahlhoff, and Dan Campione. Last season Erik Hoffer won the conference title in the one mile freestyle. On the golf team is “Charming” Jeff Malek, Michael T. Wilmoth, and Erik Hoffer.  Sophomore, Matt Moser has become a valuable asset on the Monmouth College tennis courts.  With the development of a sport growing on campus, lacrosse is becoming a Tau dominated team.  Current members of the lacrosse team include Bobby Blitek, Zak Edmonds, Scott Flynn, John Gerrity, Jon Gorzkowski, Tyler Riggs and Dave Abrams.  The Monmouth lacrosse team had its last game of the spring season against Knox college and walked away victorious with a score of 4-3.
