As members of Alpha Tau Omega, we feel that is necessary
for an individual to become involved and well-rounded,
therefore, we take pride in our members who are active
throughout the campus. We not only want our members to succeed
academically, but also socially and athletically. In
all aspects of our college careers we strive to "Be
First. Be the Best," as our national fraternity's
slogan states.
Academic Organizations
Many of our members have been
nominated for and initiated into
academic honors programs on campus as well as academic
organizations. Currently we have members in
Mortar Board, Blue Key, Order of Omega
(Greek Honor Society), and Lambda Pi Eta (National
Communication Association Honor Society).
Not only have our members been
privileged enough to become a part of these academic
societies, they have also chosen to take leadership roles
within them. Brother Hoffer is currently the president
of both Mortar Board and Order of Omega, as well as the
treasurer of Blue Key.
Campus Organizations
ATO's at Monmouth College can be
found in most of the extracurricular organizations offered
and are very well-represented. We have members that
help out the Admissions Office as Scot Ambassadors
(tour guides), as well as members that are Orientation
Leaders for the freshmen and transfer students in
the fall semester. We are also represented within
Student Senate, IFC (Interfraternal
Council), G.A.M.M.A. (Greeks Advocating
the Mature Management of Alcohol), and Greek Alliance. In addition to all
these organizations many of our members also have their own
shows on Monmouth College's very own WMCR Radio.
Varsity & Intramural Sports
Varsity and
Intramural Sports are an integral part of the Alpha Tau Omega Experience at any
college. The Epsilon Nu chapter itself has had members active on the Varsity
Football, Golf, Basketball, Tennis, Track, and Swimming
teams. In addition to Varsity Sports, the Epsilon Nu
chapter also participates in almost every Intramural program
that Monmouth College has to offer.
