Swimming

As captain of the swim team, Dan Campione showed tremendous improvement this year as a sophomore bringing his 'A' game to the pool at every competition.  Coming off of a strong freshmen season with a few records to show for it, Dan made his presence known throughout the season and especially at the conference meet.  He made a top 6 finish in the 50-yard freestyle along with a 3rd place finish in the 100-yard backstroke and 2nd place in the 200-yard backstroke.  Dan will remain a strong influence on the team as he vies for a gold medal finish in the upcoming season.
Dan's Current Team Records Held:     5 individuals, 4 relays

Erik Hoffer came out of last year's freshmen year with a conference championship gold medal in the 1650-yard freestyle and placed in the top 6 in two other events.  He also set a few Monmouth individual and relay records in the process and received a "Midwest Conference Swimmer of the Week" award.  Faced with shoulder problems his sophomore year, Erik handed the spotlight over to Campione for the season and managed to help the team score points in relays at the conference meet.
Erik's Current Team Records Held:     4 individuals, 3 relays

Jim Travnik (not pictured) came in as a freshmen this year looking to add some depth to the Fighting Scots swim team.   A distance freestyle swimmer in high school, Jim continued to stick with the long events and scored big at the conference meet, which included a 4th place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle.  Jim will continue to be a threat in the long distance events as we look forward to the upcoming season.
Jim's Current Team Records Held:     1 relay

Brandon Sahlhoff, along with Dan and Erik, was one of the six men that led the men's team to a 4th place finish in 2005 in the school's first swim season in over twenty years.  In the process Brandon managed to pull off three top 12 finishes and was a great asset to the relay teams at the beginning and end of each day's of competition.  Although he took his sophomore year off, we look for Brandon to do great things as he gets back in the water this upcoming season.

Tennis

Matt Moser had an outstanding tennis season this past spring as he beat all of the odds and surprised everyone in the Midwest Conference.  In early April he received the title of "Midwest Conference Performer of the Week" after winning 7 consecutive singles matches, but he was nowhere near the end of this streak.  He then went on to win the #5 singles championship for the Midwest Conference and finished the season on an amazing 18-game winning streak.  Matt was the lone star of the team throughout the season as he kept the Scots in contention.
Matt's Current Team Records Held:     5

Golf

Jeff Malek was an integral part of the Fighting Scots golf team this past spring.  He showed great integrity throughout the season as he remained one of the more consistent scorers on the team.  He enjoyed his time as the senior captain of the team and his leadership will be missed as he graduates this year.

Mike Wilmoth was the other senior playing on the team this past season.  He played in many of the matches and managed to help out the team when it mattered most.  His presence will definitely be missed on the golf course next spring.

Sophomore Erik Hoffer and freshmen Ryan Powers evened out the team with a few matches each and look to improve their  golf games in the summer in preparation for next year.
