The objective portion of the final exam will be composed of questions and topics taken from the material described below.  Nothing will appear on that portion of the test that is not mentioned on the study guide.  Items will be given in the form of objective questions (e.g. fill in the blank, multiple choice, etc.).

9.  BE ABLE TO GIVE OR IDENTIFY EXAMPLES OF EACH OF THE THREE TYPES OF SIGNS:  ICONS, INDEXES AND SYMBOLS.

11.  Discuss what sorts of materials can and should be included in introductions and conclusions.
