Take a basic fairy tale, turn it inside out and what do you have? The Smartest Woman in the Kingdom! The not-too-bright Prince Eldric has to marry the smartest woman in the kingdom by midnight tomorrow, or the throne reverts to his evil cousin Duncan! Unfortunately, he can't marry the woman he loves, the royal magician Merlene, because it's decreed that he also has to marry a commoner. Now Prince Eldric only has until sundown tomorrow to find a wife and save the kingdom. Duncan is plotting with Carolina the Cruel to make sure any wedding plans are foiled, so they use the Dragon's Cloak of Invisibility to kidnap the prince. Can Genevieve, a strong-willed swordswoman, rescue the kidnapped prince and save the kingdom from certain doom? If she does, will she be forced to marry him? With swordfights, invisibility, magic potions, secret passages, bad puns and more than one surprise romance, this light-hearted comedy turns the traditional fairy tale on its ear.

The Monmouth College Children's Theatre class under the direction of Dr. James DeYoung toured the production through Monmouth-area schools and played to a full house on campus at the Wells Theater.
