WAITING FOR GODOT

CAST AND CREW BLOG PAGE

Hello and welcome to Waiting for Godot cast and crew blog page.  The cast and crew of the production have been asked to record their rehearsal journey in the form of a blog.  They will also be asked to participate in the creation of “Sourcework” a term borrowed from renowned stage director, Anne Bogart.  I loosely describe Sourcework as the development/research/creation/sharing of any tangible material that might highlight, explain, and ask questions about any aspect of the production.  These students will bring in pictures, images, music, food, poetry….well, anything that could express their emotional and intellectual response to the piece.  This is all done in the hope that sharing ideas will bring us closer to understanding the script.  As the audience is part of the collaborative experience of theater, we want to share our thoughts with you!  We hope you'll find the images, blogs, notes and research supportive in your experience of Beckett's work.  We'll see you in the theater!

       HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

All of the actors and many of the technicians in this production are MC students, and many are participating in the production for credit.  Any student, no matter the class standing or major, is invited to audition and even take leading roles in MC productions.  It’s a great way to get involved immediately!

COFFEE AND CONVERSATION WITH THE CAST

Generally, our opening night productions are followed by an hour of Coffee and Conversation with the cast, crew, directors, designers and audience members.  We invite the audience to remain and share their responses or ask questions about the research and rehearsal of this production.

If you find you have questions about this process, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me and I will forward your question to the appropriate cast member, crew member or designer.  Enjoy!
