Where Are They Now?
Lisa Bondi spent a year working on a master's degree in education at Valpariso University. In the fall
of 2006 she entered the Master of Arts Program at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, where
she received a graduate assistantship with the university's campus ministry team. You

in Chicago--even though both of them are living on the east coast. You can see a picture of them at

Danielka Briceno graduated in May, 2007 and is blessing the world with her bright spirit.
Matt Carl went into the Army with plans to become an Army Chaplain.
Robert Cristobal went to Seabury Seminary in Chicago. He was ordained into the Episcopal Diaconate on
June 3, 2006.
Stefanie Cross is teaching in Galesburg.
Adam Drake graduated in May, 2007 is pursuing life as only "The Drake" knows how!
Geoff Edwards completed a graduate degree in college student personnel from Bowling Green
University and became the assistant director of residence life at Fontbonne University in St. Louis
on July 1, 2005.
Amy Faith is teaching in Iowa.
David Garrett became the Sports Video Coordinator at Furman University and was
named the At Large Conference Video Coordinator of the Year 2004-2005. In July 2005
he accepted the job of his dreams--Assistant Sports Video Coordinator for the University
of California at Berkley! He is now engaged to Dawn; their wedding is planned for May 2007.
Kevin Gebraski graduated in Psychology in May 2006 and is going to change the world!
Richard Harrod graduated in May, 2007 and will return to speak in chapel again one day...
John Huxtable is a licensed minister, pastoring the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in
Virden, IL while he also attends seminary at Eden in St. Louis.
Molly Keefe went on to American University in Washington, DC, received her Master's in Sociology,
and now works for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in D.C.
Keri Kling is pursuing a call to ministry in Texas.
Sagun Manandhar is pursuing his Ph.D. in mathematics at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.
Mary Beth McGregor is living and working in Chicago as she considers attending seminary.
Katie Mirsky is living and working in the Chicago area while she also considers a call to higher
education in public relations or theology.
Emily Mittsdarffer spent a year teaching at-risk pre-schoolers at “Foundations for Early Learning”
in Cicero IL. She has since moved to Schaumburg, IL where she is working as a Financial Aid Advisor
for Colorado Technical University Online. She plans to start working toward her Elementary Education
Teaching Certificate in Fall 2007.
Zach Muhrer married Jenna ("the lovely Kiwi with the gigantic heart" from New Zealand) in April 2007.
He is currently the Program Manager at Camp For All in Burton, Texas.
Erin Musolf left in August, 2005 for a year of mission work through the PCUSA's
Young Adult Volunteers in Missions Program. She served for a year as a hospital chaplain in Kerala,
India. In the fall of 2006 she began her graduate studies at San Francisco Theological Seminary.
She is also the recipient of a second FTE (Fund for Theological Education) fellowship (her first was
awarded while she was an undergraduate at MC).
Minya Owens is living int the southwest suburbs of Chicago. She graduated from DePaul University in 2003
and obtained her paralegal certification in 2004 from Roosevelt University. She is currently working for
Metra Railroad as a corporate and real estate paralegal. She plans to go back to law school in the near
future. The joy of her life is her four-year-old daughter Madison Mahailya.
Jennifer Rund graduated from McCormick Theological Seminary, followed by a year of field
work in hospital chaplaincy in Michigan. She married Tom Scott in Sept. 2003, was
ordained in Sept. 2004, and currently serves as a hospital chaplain in Champaign, IL. In May
2006 Jennifer learned she had met all the requirements to become a Board Certified Chaplain
under the standards set by the Association of Professional Chaplains. She was awarded Board
Certification at a ceremony in San Francisco in April, 2007. Jen and Tom welcomed their son,
Benjamin Tavish Rund-Scott, into their lives on August 28th, 2006.
Angela St. Paul went on to graduate school.
Tom Scott married Jennifer Rund, worked as a reporter while Jennifer worked through her
hospital chaplaincy internship, and went on to graduate school in Journalism at the
University of Illinois in Champaign. He completed his degree in August 2006--right
before their son was born! Currently he is the editor of a weekly newspaper.
Annie Shortridge returned from her final semester at Monmouth College--spent abroad
in Italy and England and is now the youth minister at Holy Family Catholic Church in the Quad Cities.
Amanda Smith married and is teaching in the Chicago area.
Jenn Stover accepted an Executive position with Target in May 2006.
Stephanie Stumpf married Corey Tedford and is teaching in Joliet, IL.
Katie Sydney made a career for herself in the insurance industry. She currenly lives in Chicago.
Jimmy Thomas was the recipient of Monmouth College's first post-graduate fellowship and spent
a year working on various projects at MC, including an extensive study of spiritual life programs.
He plans to began graduate school in Fall 2006. He and Kelli Wefenstette will wed on June 14, 2008.
Heaven Walker and her partner Diana are in the San Francisco Bay area where Heaven pursued a
Master's Degree at the California Institute of Integral Studies in the Department of Philosophy
and Religious Studies; her primary focus was on Women's Spirituality. She is now teaching Ethics
and Religious Studies at a local community college.
Chris Walljasper graduated in May, 2007 and is pursuing music along with his continued involvement in Boy Scouts.
Kelli Wefenstette graduated in May, 2007 and will begin her studies in Urban Engineering at Northeaster University
in Chicago in the fall. She and Jimmy Thomas will be married at the MC Chapel on June 14, 2008.
Kelly Winfrey married Eric Seaman in September 2006. She and Eric both began teaching in a small town
town near Chicago in August, 2006.
Taylor Zelenka went off on the adventure of a lifetime with Americorps. She has since returned
to school on the East Coast where she has resumed the pursuit of her college degree.
