The MC Biochemistry Major

A major in biochemistry consists of Chemistry 130, 140, 220, 225, 230, 312, 330, 335, 350 and
Biology 200, 202, 354/355  and one upper level science or related discipline course (3 credits). In addition, two semesters each of calculus and physics are required.  The culminating experience for biochemistry majors consists of an independent research project (Chemistry 420 or Biology 440) and two semesters of science seminar (Chemistry or Biology 350).  Click here for a course check list

A model plan of study for an MC Biochemistry Major is outlined in the following table. Spaced throughout the curriculum are general education courses.  These are not specifically listed in the table since a wide variety of courses are offered which fulfill the General Education requirements.
