Awards received

I have received the Mellinger scholarship, the Meredith Brown scholarship, the Gladys Bigger Memorial scholarship, and the Illinois State Scholar scholarship.  I am a member of the honor society Blue Key and the honor society in Pi Beta Phi, Pi Society.
 

Interests and activities

My interests and activities include co-captain of the Monmouth College cheerleading squad, which has taught me leadership and organizational skills.  I am a member and hold an executive position in Pi Beta Phi, which has taught me team building, time management, and leadership skills.  All of these skills will be pertinent in any career or job I undertake because they are necessary in order to be successful.

·         This position involved organization and patience because I was helping to run a household with small children present.  Arriving on time, constantly being prepared, and reacting quickly in any situation were all necessities for this position.
