Forensic Science vs.  Pharmacogenomics

VS

Forensic Science is similar to Pharmacogenomics because both of the fields rely heavily on DNA and what DNA can identify for each individual person.  Pharmacogenomics looks at the relationship between drugs and DNA and Forensic Science may do the same kind of thing when looking at toxicology which is the study of poisons including drugs.  In both fields DNA is useful and without it the world would be unsafe for people to take medicine and unsafe for people to walk around in their neighborhood.

As you can tell they are also very far from each other in a relationship you would not connect Forensic Science with Pharmacogenomics for any other reason then they are both dealing with drugs, DNA, and they both deal with bettering their skills to better the safety of society.  But in any other way they are in no means alike.  Pharmacogenomics does not deal with criminals and crime scenes and Forensic Science does not deal with testing drugs to see what one works better and safer, however they do meet up in the realm of Biotechnology.
