INTG-410 Citizenship: Voluntary Action This course examines the shift away from state agency toward private provision of social services, and concurrent changes in the voluntary sector. Students in this course will be invited to interrogate critically theories and practices of voluntarism by examining social capital, corporate philanthropy, and voluntary action in order to create and propose ways to perpetuate a think tank which might tentatively be call the Monmouth Institute on Voluntary Action and Citizenship. |
