The Western Illinois Society continued is
prgoram for the Year of Western Illinois
Archaeology and celebrated National
Archaeology Day on Saturday, October 22,
2011 with a field trip to Cahokia National
Historic Site in Collinsville, Illinois.
About 25 people enjoyed a tour of the site
led by William Iseminger, assistant site
manage in charge of exhibits at Cahokia. The
trip was funded by an Outreach Grant from
the Archaeological Institute of America. For
