Using Electronic Dictionaries

Monmouth College subscribes to two electronic dictionaries, The American Heritage Dictionary and The Oxford English Dictionary. Both can be accessed from the MC network by going to Start/Programs/Library/Dictionaries 
and selecting the dictionary you want.

Advantages
video and audio features
ready access at a computer
easily updated
easy cut and paste for use of data
powerful search capabilities

Disadvantages
only accessible at a computer
cost (yearly subscription fee)
difficulty in browsing
