MATHEMATICS VOCABULARY

Based upon Pamphlet No. 181 published by the AMERICAN CLASSICAL LEAGUE TEACHING MATERIALS AND RESOURCE CENTER at Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio 45056. Originally prepared by the Ohio Service Committee. The list of words used here is based upon the work in "The Technical Vocabularies of the Public School Subjects," by Mrs. Luella Cole Pressey of Ohio State University, as published by the Public School Publishing Company, Bloomington, Illinois.

The vocabulary of "Common Mathematics" is based upon those words used in the three major types of math taught in high school, i.e., mathematics, arithmetic, algebra and geometry.
