Depicted
in the picture on the left is Aphrodite being born out of the foam of the
sea. According to Hesiod, Aphrodite was born after Cronus had cut
his fathers gentiles off and threw them into the sea. She is
depicted in several different ways as shown in the photo gallery on the
left. Aphrodite is the goddess of the following: Love, Beauty,
Fertility.
