Helen, daughter of Leda, is hereby charged with adultery by her husband Menelaus and with causing the destruction of Troy by Hecuba and the women of Troy.

You are a member of the prosecution or the defense team. Use Euripides' Trojan Women and other versions of Helen's myth to prepare your opening remarks which will be presented to the jury (the class).

You will then prepare in writing your own concluding remarks for the trial. Explain to the jury why you think Helen is guilty or not guilty as charged. Please share these with everyone in the class via e-mail.

Each member of the jury (i.e., the class) will then vote Helen guilty or innocent and explain this vote in an essay on the next quiz.
