2019 FOX WRITING CONTEST AT MONMOUTH COLLEGE

The Department of Classics at Monmouth College, Monmouth, Illinois, is proud to announce the winners of the thirty-second annual Bernice L. Fox Classics Writing Contest.  The topic of this year's contest, open to all high school students, was "A Classical 'Black Panther'".  This year there were 53 entries from 16 schools in 10 states.

The winner of the $250 cash award is Alexandria Miller of Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore, Maryland.  Though Alexandria is a student at Bryn Mawr School, she takes Latin at Gilman School in Baltimore, Maryland where she is taught by Ms. Sarah Miller.  You can view the winning entry here.
