Ripon College National Latin Exam Scholarships

In recognition of excellence in Latin studies Ripon College will award $2,000 annual scholarships, valued at $8,000 over four years.

To be eligible a student must be admitted as first-year student at Ripon College and must have earned at least a Magna designation on the Level II or higher National Latin Exam. To hold the scholarship over four years the student must take one Latin, Greek, or Classics course the first year and then maintain satisfactory progress towards a degree with a major in any field.

This scholarship can be combined with other Academic or Performance Tuition Scholarships that currently range from $5,000 to $15,000 annually depending upon qualifications.

Founded in 1851 and home to a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa since 1952, Ripon College offers personalized instruction and cooperative inquiry in the liberal arts and emphasizes clear reasoning, persuasive communication, and confident and effective approaches to change.

In the 2002 U.S. News & World Report "America's Best Colleges," Ripon College tied for fifth on the "Best Values List" in the section "Great Schools at Great Prices."
