October 21, 2003 Salvete, omnes! The Illinois Classical Conference invites you and your students to participate in the annual State Latin Tournament. Enclosed you will find an overview of the test format and rules. For a complete copy of the test syllabi please see the ICC web site at www.illinoisclassics.org. As we work over the next two years to update and rewrite the syllabi, we ask for your feedback and your patience as we adhere to the published syllabi. Enclosed you also will find the registration materials for the 2004 State Latin Tournament. Please read over these materials and return to me your completed forms with payment no later than January 15, 2004. Please adhere to this deadline as I will not accept registrations postmarked after that date. If your school has a conflict with the scheduled test administration week (e.g. your school is on spring break that week) please contact me as soon as possible. If you are not a Junior High or High School teacher with eligible students, please forward this to a colleague who is. I look forward to a successful year of the Illinois State Latin Tournament.
