Matt's Birthday Show!

9/21-Underground

Jam packed with both the old favorites, and lots of new faces. Party Quirks; Casanova; Soap Opera; Do Run Run; Feelings; Scene Genre; Criminal;    Hot Pressure A-

Very solid opening show with no weak spots, but without any real standouts either.  Great beginning!

Admissions Show

9/30-Theater

Perspectives. Peter Pitts did not show. First line/last line challenge; Casanova; Countdown;  American Sitcom (with Marybeth Kemp) B

Not a very good show, but as good as an admissions show can be.

Introduction to Long Form!

10/11-Underground

Scotch Tape Opener

Solid audience, once again filling the space.  Not to mention that Smoles was there! A hard hitting version of Peter; Wonder Years;  Propmaster; Fortunately- Unfortunately

B

While Peter clicked on all cylinders and then some, the rest of the show lacked focus and was at time stagnant.

Anvilhead The Play!

11/3-Theater

75-100 energetic and very vibrant audience members. A completely improvised play based off of character suggestions from the audience.

Biff & James Remington

Unspecified Occurrences

A+

The group really came together for this show.  People trusted one another, found the game within the game, shared the spotlight and gave the audience an excellent improvised play.

Anvilhead's Thanksgiving Sendoff

11/21-Underground

w/Scotch Tape

Solid Audience considering Thanksgiving and the fact that we didn't advertise. Next Line; Props; Dating Game; (ST) Car Game; Dead Theatre; 02 Deprivation B

The audience seemed to like the show but we lacked focus at times, went for cheap jokes, and had trouble ending games.  Some highlights throughout though.

Anvilhead's Blue Show Christmas Spectacular

12/6-Scotland Yard

A small cozy gathering of Anvilhead faithful and people who were forced to be there.

Sad Orphan boy opener; 72 Seconds to Live; Conjunction Junction/Shoulda Said; "To the White House;" I know what you did last summer; criminal; movie review; & double entendre B-/C+

Not our best stuff by any means.  The show became more focused on anal sex than on solid improv.  Not very focused and the only humour was potty humour.

Welcome back Griffith Show!

1/31/01-Underground

Solid crowd filled with regulars and Griffith fans Chain of fools; Dr. Rube MD; 1st Line; "Quad Cities" song; Jeopardy; American Sitcom; Countdown B+

A solid show with some great moments, but a weak countdown and 1st line held us back.
