About College For Kids

College for Kids is a summer program for students who are talented or gifted in a particular area or gifted overall. Instructors use teaching methods that are appropriate to a college classroom, including lectures, group discussions, inquiry, and lab activities. These activities promote higher level thinking skills. College for Kids provides opportunities for individual participation in areas of enrichment, intellectual stimulation which exceeds that typically attained in the regular classroom during the academic year.

Application

This program is for gifted or talented students who have completed 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grade and meet program requirements. Applications may be obtained at the school of attendance, or at the Monmouth College  Educational Studies Department office (located on the second floor of Wallace Hall) or the Monmouth College business office (located on the first floor of Poling Hall).
