Romantics

  • The Romantics Page  on The Voice of the Shuttle Web Site has an exhaustive list of links for  resources related to Romantic Studies.
     

  • The Romantic Chronology provides a detailed timeline of the Romantic period and previous related events. It includes links so that surfers can learn more about particular people, issues, and literary works of the period. 
     

  • The Romantic Circles  web site includes links to romantic period-related sites, on-line editions of Romantic writer's works, book reviews, information especially for high school teachers, special features, and more. 
     

  • Romanticism on the Net  is an on-line journal with articles and book reviews related to romantic studies.

General Victorian

The Voice of the Shuttle's Victorian Page  is a wonderful collection of links gathered by Alan Liu of UC-Santa Barbara.

The Victorian Web is a major Victorian web site of almost encyclopedic coverage. It was constructed by George P. Landow  of Brown University.

Victorian Web Sites includes a wonderful list of web sites gathered by Mitsuharu Matsuoka of Nagoya University in Japan.

The Victoria Research Web include many helpful resources by Patrick Leary, Indiana University, the founder of the Victoria discussion list.

The Victorian Women Writers Project  is a major project making primary works available through the Web and is headed by Perry Willett, Indiana University.

Careers for English Majors (and other literate people)

On
Wednesday, April 2 at 3:30 (Barnes Electronic Classroom), Dr. Rob Prescott and Monmouth English grad Eric Seaman will give an informal presentation on the career options available to any English major. Dr. Prescott has recently completed a book manuscript entitled Why to Major in English if You’re NOT Going to Teach.
