Monmouth College
History 112
MIDTERMS AND THE FINAL
- The midterms and the final exam will be comprised of some combination of
multiple choice, definition, and essays. The
information covered on the exams will come from the lectures, the textbook,
and the other four books.
- The final exam is cumulative, which
means that you will be responsible for all of the material weve covered this
semester.
- Tips for studying for history exams:
- come to class every day;
- read your textbook in advance of
the lectures;
- review your notes for ten minutes
EVERY DAY;
- make up topical time lines;
- begin studying well in advance of
the exam;
- study in groups.
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions
of me, either in class or out. I can help you study for tests--but you have
to let me know when you need help.
- Make-up exams are strongly discouraged because they tend to hurt you.
You
must notify me before the exam if you have to miss it. If you fail to do
so, you will be given zero points for that examination.
