Create a Hyperlink to a PowerPoint File Creating a hyperlink to a PowerPoint file is a three-step process. First, you copy and paste the PowerPoint file in your portfolio Web site. Second, you open the PowerPoint file and save it as a Web page. Third, you create a hyperlink to the PowerPoint Web page. IMPORTANT! Never hyperlink directly to a file that’s on your F: drive (or other drive) or your portfolio visitors will receive an error message when they click on the link. ALWAYS copy the file from your computer, paste it in your portfolio Web site, and then create a hyperlink to the PDF file that's in your portfolio Web site!
