Create a New Web Page
- Click on the New Document
toolbar button in the upper-left corner of the window.
- Click on the Save
toolbar button.
- In the File name field, enter a
file name for the web page.
IMPORTANT! Type the file name in all
lowercase letters and use hyphens or underscores to separate words.
Pages that have spaces in the file name will not
open in Internet Explorer.
IMPORTANT! If you are creating a home
page for the web site, then its file name must be either
default or index.
Other web pages you create may have whatever file names
you wish.

- Click on the Change title button.

- In the Page title field,
enter a title for the web page. (The page title displays
on the browser window's title bar.)

- Click on the OK button.
- Click on the Save button.
Change the Web Page Title
- Right-click on the web page and select Page
Properties.
- In the Title field, enter the new
page title.
- Click on the OK button.
Change the Web Page Background
Color
- Right-click on the web page and select Page
Properties.
- Click on the Formatting tab.
- Under Colors, click on the
Background down arrow and select More
Colors.

- Select the desired color.
- Click on the OK button.
- Click on the OK button.
Add a Graphic to the Web Page
Background
- If you want to use a graphic from a web site, then download the graphic file to the
My
Pictures folder on your computer. (To download
the graphic file, right-click on it and select Save Picture As.)
- Right-click on the web page and select Page
Properties.
- Click on the Formatting tab.
- Click on the Browse button.

- Navigate to the My Pictures folder
on your computer.
- Select the graphic file.
- Click on the Open button.
- Click on the OK button.
Preview a Web Page in Internet
Explorer
- Click on the Preview
toolbar button or press F12.
Refresh a Web Page in Internet
Explorer
- Click on the Refresh
toolbar button in the upper-right corner of the window.
