Web Sites
To create a new
folder in the main web folder:
- In the Folder List, right-click on the top
folder (the one that begins with http://) and select New -
Folder. A new folder appears.

- Enter a name for the folder (use all lower case letters
and no spaces).
- Press the Enter key. The folder is
renamed.

To open a web
site in FrontPage:
- Open FrontPage.
Note: To open FrontPage, click on the Start
button and select
Programs - General Programs - Internet - Microsoft FrontPage.)
- Click
on the File menu and select Open Site. The Open
Site
window appears.
- In the
Site name field, enter the full
address of the web that you want to open (e.g., http://personal.monm.edu/jdoe).
- Click
on the Open button. The Connect to window
appears.
- In the
User Name field, enter NT1\ followed by your user name
(e.g., NT1\jdoe).
- In the
Password field, enter your password.
- Click
on the OK button. The main web folder opens.
Note: You can also open a Web site in FrontPage by bringing up
the Web site's home page in Internet Explorer and then clicking on the Edit with Microsoft Office
FrontPage
toolbar button.

The Folder List provides access to
all of the files and folders in the main Web site folder.

To turn the Folder List on or off, you can
either:
- Click on the View menu and select Folder List.
- Click on the Toggle Pane
toolbar
button. (Click on the Toggle Pane down arrow first and make
sure that Folder List is selected.)
- Press Alt + F1.
