Overview

Currently, you are responsible for backing up your Moodle courses and saving copies of the backup files to your computer.

IMPORTANT! If you are using the Moodle gradebook in any of your courses, then you should also keep backup copies of it on your computer. You can do this by downloading your gradebook to Excel. (For more information, see Download Your Gradebook to Excel.)

You should back up a course after making major changes to it, after students submit assignments or complete quizzes, after grades are entered, or any other time that you feel it is appropriate.
