End-of-Semester Moodle Procedures
OverviewAt the end of each semester, you should:
Please call the Information Systems Center (x2106) if you have any questions or would like assistance. Back Up Your Course(s)To back up a course and save a copy of the backup file to your computer:
Download Your Gradebook(s) to ExcelTo download a gradebook to Excel and save the Excel file to your computer:
Make Your Course(s) Unavailable to StudentsWhen you make your course unavailable to students, your course will be hidden to students on the main Moodle page, but not to you or Moodle administrators. To make your course unavailable to students:
Reuse a Course Next SemesterIf you want to reuse a course, then you must request a new Moodle course at http://www.monm.edu/moodle.htm. Then, after the new course has been created, the Information Systems Center will import your old course content into the new course. (Currently, a system bug will prevent you from importing course content yourself.) Import Content from Another CourseIf you want to import course content into another course, then the Information Systems Center will need to import the course content for you. (Currently, a system bug will prevent you from importing course content yourself.) |
