OverviewIn Moodle, you can send messages to other MC Moodle users (students and/or teachers) regardless of whether they are enrolled in your course(s). When you receive a new message, a notification appears in the Message block, as shown below.
You can add the Messages block to your course home page. (For more information, see Blocks.) If you choose not to add the Messages block to your course home page, then it appear on the main Moodle page whenever you receive a new Moodle message. If you are not logged in to Moodle, then you can still receive new Moodle messages via e-mail. (For more information, see Messaging Settings.) Send a MessageTo send a Moodle message to a student in your course:
To send a Moodle message to an MC Moodle user that is not in your course:
Open and Reply to a MessageTo open a Moodle message, click on the number next to the envelope icon across from the sender's name.
The message appears in a pop-up window, as shown below.
To reply to the message, type your message and then click on the Send message button. Messaging SettingsYour messaging settings include:
To access your messaging settings, click on the Messages link, shown circled below, in the Messages block. Then, click on the Settings tab.
