What is MyMC?

MyMC is Monmouth College's web portal. It's the place to go for the latest MC news and announcements. It's also where to go to access WebAdvisor, Moodle, and your MC web e-mail.

Accessing MyMC

You can access MyMC from any computer that has Internet access. If you access MyMC from a MC lab or office computer, then you won't need to log in to it. If you access MyMC from your personal computer or from an off-campus computer, then you'll need to log in to the Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway page first. Instructions for accessing MyMC are below.

1. Open a web browser and go to the Monmouth College home page (http://www.monmouthcollege.edu).
2. Click MyMC at the bottom of the page.
   
   
   
   Note: If you are using your personal computer or an off-campus computer, then you will be prompted to log in to the Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway page after you click the MyMC link. To log in to this page, select the public computer or private computer option, enter your Monmouth College user name and password, and click Log On. After you log in, the MyMC page will appear.
   
   

IMPORTANT! The first time you access MyMC, you'll need to enter your MC user name and password again in order to activate a link to your web-email and to populate the calendar area.

To enter your MC user name and password, click the message below, which appears above the calendar area on the left side of the page and next to the weather at the top of the page.

Securing MyMC

MC Computers  

When you open MyMC on a MC lab or office computer, you do not have to log in. Because of this, be sure to log off of the computer when you are finished using it. Otherwise, someone else could access your MC e-mail and your WebAdvisor information.  

If you are a faculty or staff member, then you should secure your office computer by locking it whenever you are going to be away from it during the day and logging off of it or shutting it down at night. To lock your office computer, press the Windows key + L or press the Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys at the same time and select Lock this computer.

Other Computers  

When you open MyMC on your personal computer or an off-campus computer, you must first log in to Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway. Always select the public or shared computer option whenever you are using a computer that is not your own.

The public or shared computer option automatically logs you out of your MyMC page after 15 minutes of inactivity. The private computer option keeps you logged in to your MyMC page for up to 24 hours before automatically logging you out.  

Create a List of Your Favorite Web Site Links

You can create a list of links to your favorite web sites using the Links Resource feature at the top of the Student Resources, Faculty Resources, or Staff Resources page. Directions are below.

1. Click Student Resources, Faculty Resources, or Student Resources on the right side of the MyMC page.
   
   
2. Expand the Links Resource area by clicking the arrow button on the right.
   
3. Click Add New Link.
   
   
4. Enter the web page title, URL, and, if desired, select a category.
   
   
5. If desired, enter a description.
   
   
6. If desired, click Test URL. (When you click this button, the web page will open in Internet Explorer.)
   
   
7. Click Add.
   
   
8. Either click Add Another or Cancel.
   
   
   
   
   Note: To access your list of web page links, click My Links.
   
   

Make MyMC Your Home Page in Internet Explorer

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools in the upper-right corner of the page and select Internet Options.
3. Delete the web address listed under Home page and enter https://mymc.monmouthcollege.edu
   
   
4. Click OK.
