Add Text to a Picture
To add text to a picture:
- Open the picture in Photoshop LE.
- Make a backup copy of the picture by clicking on the File menu and
selecting Save As.
- At the bottom of the toolbox, click on the top box in the color picker, as
shown below. The color picker window appears.

- Select the desired color for the text.
- In the toolbox, click on the type tool, as shown circled below.

- Click on the picture. The Type Tool window appears.
- Click on the Font down arrow and select the desired font.
- In the Size field, enter the desired font size.
- Under Style, if desired, check the Bold, Italic, or
Underline checkbox. (Leave the Anti-Aliased checkbox checked.)
- In the text box, enter the desired text.
- Across from Show, check the Size checkbox.
- Click on the OK button. The text appears on the picture.
- Drag the text to the desired location on the picture.
- Click on the picture. The text appears.
