Add Text to a Picture

To add text to a picture:

  1. Open the picture in Photoshop LE.
     
  2. Make a backup copy of the picture by clicking on the File menu and selecting Save As.
     
  3. At the bottom of the toolbox, click on the top box in the color picker, as shown below. The color picker window appears.

  4. Select the desired color for the text.
     
  5. In the toolbox, click on the type tool, as shown circled below.

  1. Click on the picture. The Type Tool window appears.
     
  2. Click on the Font down arrow and select the desired font.
     
  3. In the Size field, enter the desired font size.
     
  4. Under Style, if desired, check the Bold, Italic, or Underline checkbox. (Leave the Anti-Aliased checkbox checked.)
     
  5. In the text box, enter the desired text.
     
  6. Across from Show, check the Size checkbox.
     
  7. Click on the OK button. The text appears on the picture.
     
  8. Drag the text to the desired location on the picture.
     
  9. Click on the picture. The text appears.
