Terminal Services
Terminal Services
Overview
Terminal Services provides faculty and staff with remote
access to the Monmouth College network.
When you log on to a Terminal Services session, a desktop
appears that is similar to your office computer's desktop. From this
desktop, you can access all of your files on the F:
drive, many of the network-installed programs, your Outlook personal
folders, plus all of your Internet Explorer favorites.
If you have Windows XP or Vista, then you can use Remote
Desktop Connection to log in to Terminal Services. (For more
information, see
Log On to a Terminal Services Session.)
Note: Mac users must download and install the Microsoft
Remote Desktop Client for Mac in order to log in to Terminal
Services. (For more information, see
Download the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac.)
IMPORTANT!
When you are finished using Terminal Services, you must log off of
the session. Otherwise, any files that were open when you closed the
session will be locked for editing when you try to access them on
your campus computer. For more information, see
Log Off of a Terminal Services Session.

Information Systems Center (x2106).
