Overview

Unified Messaging is the voice mail component of the Exchange 2010 server. Features include:

• Voice command access to your Outlook e-mail, calendar, and contacts over the phone
• Speech-to-text translation for voice mail previews
• Missed call notifications
• Rules you can create to determine how calls are handled when you don't answer your phone (For more information, see Transferring and Forwarding Calls.)
• Text message notifications that can be sent to your mobile phone for when you miss a call, receive a voice mail message, receive a meeting request, or receive an e-mail that meets specified criteria (For more information, see Text Messages.)
