How to Register for Classes
If you know the course and section numbers of the classes for which you want to register, then select the instructions for Express Registration below. If you want to search for sections, select the instructions for Search and Register for Sections below.Express Registration Instructions

Express Registration Instructions
- Go to the MC home page (http://www.monmouthcollege.edu).
- Select MyMC.
- If prompted, log in to the Forefront Threat
Management Gateway page with your MC user name and password.
Otherwise, proceed to the next step.
- Under Self-Service (WebAdvisor), select
STUDENTS.
- Select Registration.
- Select Express registration. (If you want to
search for a section, then follow the instructions for
Search and Register for
Sections)
- LEAVE THE SYNONYM FIELD BLANK. (This field is not
used for our registration process.)
- Click the Subject down arrow and select a subject.
(Match your prefix, and be specific. For example, for SPAN,
select Spanish, not
Modern Foreign Language. For PHED or EXSC, select Physical
Education or Exercise Science, not Kinesiology, etc.)
- In the Course Number and Section Number fields, enter
the course number and two-digit section number (e.g., 01, 02, etc.).
- Click the Term down arrow and select the term for
which you want to register.
- Click SUBMIT at the bottom of the page.
- Click the down arrow next to the course
and select Register.
Note: If you have several courses listed, then you can click the Action for ALL Pref. Sections down arrow and select Register. Please note that if there is something preventing registration for even one course in a group (e.g., if the section is closed), then none of the registrations will go through.
- Click SUBMIT at the bottom of the page.
- If the class is not closed, there is not a time
conflict, all prerequisites have been meet, etc., then the
registration will be processed.
If a class is closed, then a message will appear at the top of the page to let you know that you can either add yourself to the waitlist or look for an available section.
To add yourself to the waitlist, click the down arrow next to the class, select Waitlist, and then click SUBMIT at the bottom of the page.
- When you're finished registering and using the MyMC page,
double check to make sure that your registration is correct
(i.e., check your schedule to make sure all of your classes
are there) and then close the browser window.
IMPORTANT! If you're using a lab computer, then be sure to log off of the computer when you're finished using it so that no one can access your MyMC page.
Search and Register for Sections Instructions
- Go to the MC home page (http://www.monmouthcollege.edu).
- Select MyMC.
- If prompted, log in to the Forefront Threat
Management Gateway page with your MC user name and password.
Otherwise, proceed to the next step.
- Under Self-Service (WebAdvisor), select
STUDENTS.
- Select Registration.
- Click
Search/Register for Sections.
- Click the Term down arrow and select
the term for which you want to register.
- Click the Subject down arrow and select
a subject.
- Fill out one other field on this page. (For example,
click the Course Level down arrow and
select a course level, enter a course number in the Course Number field, etc.)
- Click SUBMIT at the bottom of the page.
- Put a checkmark next to the course for which you want
to register.
- Click SUBMIT at the bottom of the page.
- Click the down arrow next to the course for which you
want to register and select Register.
Note: If you have several courses listed, then you can click the Action for ALL Pref. Sections down arrow and select Register.
