Saving Files on the
Network When you are working on a lab or office computer, we recommend that you save and store your files in your My Documents folder on the F: drive. (Your My Documents folder on the F: drive is the default save to location for most of the network-installed programs, such as Word.) When you save your files on the F: drive, you will be able to access them from any campus computer (or any off-campus computer that has Internet access), and your files will be backed up each night. Note: Because the F: drive is backed up, we strongly recommend that you use it for your primary file storage and keep backup copies of your files on a USB drive or your personal computer. In addition to the F: drive, you may save files on the G: drive, but the G: drive is not backed up, so DO NOT store important files there. For more information about the F: drive, see the F: Drive help documentation. |
