Specify the Proxy Server Address and Port in Internet Explorer

To specify the proxy server address and port in Internet Explorer:

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
     
  2. Click on the Tools menu and select Internet Options. The Internet Options window appears.
     
  3. Click on the Connections tab.
     
  4. Click on the LAN Settings button. The Local Area Network (LAN) Settings window appears.
     
  5. Under Proxy server, check the Use a proxy server for your LAN checkbox.
     
  6. In the Address field, enter 10.20.0.1
     
  7. In the Port field, enter 8080
     
  8. Click on the OK button.
     
  9. Click on the OK button again to return to Internet Explorer.
