Tuesday Tech Talks

 
     
  The Information Systems Center is presenting a series of short (30 minute) tech talks each Tuesday during the month of February.

All tech talks will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the Barnes Electronic Classroom (library basement).

Feb. 5 Using Outlook Web Access 2007 This tech talk highlights the new features in Outlook Web Access 2007 and covers how to access public folders using other Web browsers besides Internet Explorer.
Feb. 12 Protecting Your Personal Computer This tech talk focuses on the four basic steps that every computer user should take to protect his or her personal computer from viruses, spyware, and hackers. It also presents other recommendations for keeping your personal computer clean.
Feb. 19 Accessing Your F: Drive Files from Your Room or Off Campus This tech talk features a demonstration of the File Access program, which you can use to download files from your F: drive to your personal computer or upload files from your personal computer to your F: drive.
Feb. 26 Spyware 101 This tech talk covers what spyware is, how it can get on your computer, symptoms your computer may exhibit if it is infected with spyware, and tips for avoiding spyware.
