In the Library

Viewing rooms and stations are available throughout the Library: two small viewing rooms on the Main Level (rooms 146 and 147), and two individual stations in the Music Room on the Lower Level.

The Barnes Electronic Classroom on the Lower Level is a "smart classroom" that seats forty-eight and provides audio-visual capabilities for almost any presentation. If you would like to reserve the BEC and take advantage of its special audiovisual technologies, visit our Room Reservations page.

• 10' rear-projection viewing screen
• 6' Smartboard
• Interactive touch monitor for device selection / manipulation
• Dolby 7.1 surround sound
• 2 DVD players (code-free)
• 2 VCRs (PAL)
• CD / audio cassette player
• Visual presenter
• Slide-to-video converter

Equipment checkout

AV equipment is available for temporary checkout to students, faculty and staff for college-related activities. To reserve equipment for checkout, contact Audiovisual / Information Systems Manager Chris Buban at x2193 or cbuban@monm.edu. Borrowing periods will vary, depending upon the activity for which the equipment is needed and the pressure of demand from other patrons. Equipment includes:

• Televisions
• Digital cameras
• Slide projectors
• Visual presenters
• DVD players / VCRs
• Laptops (only MC faculty may check out a limited number of laptops)
