Dr. Bond is a statistician and does research in statistics education. Currently, she is working with the Survey of Attitudes Toward Statistics (SATS). The purpose of The SATS Project is to create a database of student results of the SATS combined with information about the instructor and the course. In addition, she is working with undergraduate research students to determine students’ perception of statistics prior to taking an introductory statistics course. She is regularly attends the Joint Statistical Meetings and the United States Conference on Teaching Statistics. She was the technical editor of Statistics Workbook for Dummies and Probability for Dummies.

Dr. Welch retired Spring of 2009. He used his recent sabbatical to pursue his interest in mathematical sculpture, and some of his works may be seen in the halls of our building.
