Dr. Welch is the chairman of the department. He used his recent sabbatical to pursue his interest in mathematical sculpture, and some of his works may be seen in the halls of our building.

Dr. Bond is a statistician and does research in statistics education. Currently, she is working on an undergraduate textbook on linear regression and analysis of variance. She is the chapter advisor of Alpha Xi Delta.

Dr. Sostarecz is an applied mathematician whose main focus is the connection of mathematics to the physical and biological sciences. He is also a member of the Physics Department.

Professor Mayfield goes by his middle name, Logan. In addition to his interests in Computing, he is an avid music lover and musician.

Ms. McDermott has taught at Monmouth for ten years. She also helps students with math questions in the Learning Center.
