of Music at Monmouth College. Dr. Betts received the
Doctor of Musical Arts degree in performance and pedagogy from the University of Iowa, and bachelor's and master's degrees in music from Southern Illinois
University.
In addition to performing in
classical and jazz groups on several instruments, Dr. Betts is
active in the fields of computer music and sound, video production,
and Web design, and holds a Master
of Science degree from Western Illinois University in Instructional
Technology and Telecommunications. He has been teaching the
Integration of Educational Technology courses at Monmouth College,
and is currently exploring the uses of geographical information
systems in a liberal-arts college setting.
