MUSI 420 - Independent Study

MUSI 301 - Introduction to Conducting
MUSI 302 - Form and Analysis
Four credits in applied music.
In addition, participation is required in one of the following ensembles
during each semester the student is enrolled on campus:
MUSI 134 – Men’s or Women’s Choir
MUSI 181 – The Monmouth Chorale
MUSI 182 – String Ensemble
MUSI 184 – Concert Choir
MUSI 185 – Wind Ensemble
Attendance at campus concerts and recitals is required.
Music majors are required to demonstrate competence on the keyboard by
passing an examination in functional piano. The major should consult with the
department for additional policies.
The culminating experience for music majors is an independent study in the
senior year consisting of an in-depth investigation of a topic chosen by the
student in conjunction with the advisor.
