Ian J. Moschenross is a frequent soloist, chamber musician, and concerto
soloist, having performed in state, regional, national, and international
venues. He is also a sought-after teacher and adjudicator. Moschenross is an
active member of the Peoria Area Music Teachers, Illinois Music Teachers, and
the Music Teachers National Associations.
Ian earned the Bachelor of Arts
degree (magna cum laude) from Hanover College, where his major teacher was Dr.
C. Kimm Hollis. He also earned the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts
Degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he studied with Dr. Mark
Clinton.
In addition to his formal studies, Ian has also done advanced work at
the Texas Christian University/Cliburn Piano Institute (a prestigious forum for
piano teachers held in conjunction with the Van Cliburn International Piano
Competition) as well as with internationally renowned artists such as Leon
Fleisher and Santiago Rodriguez. Dr. Moschenross serves as Assistant Professor
and Chair of the Music Department at Monmouth College. |
