
 The Monmouth Winds under the direction of Professor
Erin Alderson is a 40 member ensemble for the serious musician. It is open only by audition or recommendation of the applied instructor.
The Monmouth Winds performs fall and spring concerts and plays at Family Weekend, Christmas at Monmouth, and the Commencement Concert along with
other ensembles.
The Monmouth Winds completed a tour March 9-13, 2009 that included performances at the Illinois State Capitol in Springfield, Illinois, The Charles Allis Art Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the Harold Washington Public Library in Chicago, Illinois in addition to area high schools. The Monmouth Winds conducted an
Italian tour in May of 2011, performing in churches in and around
Florence.

The Monmouth College Concert Band is open to all students without an audition. This ensemble performs one concert each semester. The ensemble performs concert band literature from Bach to Andrew Lloyd Webber. The
Concert Band is designed for students who want to continue to be in a band
but prefer not to make the time commitment required by the
Monmouth Winds.
